I purchased dinner theater tickets to a Valentines Day dinner and show to surprise my wife....and what a surprise it turned out to be! I took off from work early, my wife and I both dressed up for a nice evening out and we were very much looking forward to it. Unfortunately when we arrived there, we were informed that the event had been canceled. Of course being Valentines Day and Friday evening with no reservations, we were were unable to find alternate dining and entertainment plans--we were all dressed up with nowhere to go. I later discovered that they had sent an email informing that the event had been canceled a little less than an hour before it was scheduled to begin. To make matters worse, I finally contacted someone at the theater that promised a refund, but several weeks later I have yet to be refunded for the event. I suppose I will be forced to take additional time to dispute the charge with my credit card company.
