Great Food & employees & owners

Although sometimes the employees can be a little aggravating at times, don't let this deter you from enjoying the best pizza in central Illinois. This restaurant is the longest-running eatery in Havana for a reason. Do yourself and your family a favor and try Michele's in Havana, IL. You won't be disappointed!

I've eaten at Michele's for 30 years without complaint. The food is very consistent. It's clean, the food is fresh, the employees are pleasant, and the menu is moderately priced. I particularly like the Ravioli

Havana is a small town. The owner has been preparing the same menu the same way for years because the regulars who keep the doors open like it.

Only those who live in small towns understand that foods available in big cities do not sell well in farm towns due to cost and limited availability. You won't find specialty beers or French cuisine. We drive 50 miles to Springfield or Peoria for upscale meals and Michelin Open Table restaurants. .

I spoke with the man at the restaurant and stated I wanted a pizza with all veggies normally put on a pizza and sausage. I also commented that some places barely put tomato sauce on the pizza and I wanted plenty of tomato sauce. There wasn't enough tomato sauce to taste and only a stain of it on the pizza. The veggies consisted of mushrooms and onions...no black olives or bell pepper or tomatoes. I also ordered a salad and for some reason it smelled bad and was made of ice berg lettuce, much of what was core pieces, instead of green leaf or romaine as the picture on the website seems to indicate...very disappointing. I tossed the tossed salad. The dressing was very runny and possibly spoiled. There was no enjoyment in that meal and a waste of my hard earned money.

Pizza not all that good. It's a bit over priced for the area and the service was terrible.

Thanks, Loe

I love Michelles, I always order the gondola's but the pizza there is great as well. I would recommend it to anyone. Fast service too.
