When traveling between Louisiana and Wisconsin, this BBQ restaurant is a must-stop. The ribs and pulled pork are incredibly flavorful, and the fried bologna sandwich took me back to my childhood, even if it wasn't exactly the same. The friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere make it a great choice for anyone passing through Southern Illinois.

Best meal ever!

This is not slap BBQ on the name and call it BBQ, this is legit BBQ that is about as good as you are going to consistently find in Southern Illinois. Their dry rub flavor is good and is not too spicy to the point it masks the flavor of the meat and smoke, like some of the one's I have had. They also have a really good line of sauces that cover the gambit from tangy vinegar to sweet and spicy. The mustard based sauce is one of my favorites and is one I employee at home for a variety of grilling meats, to baking ham. What holds this place back from being really outstanding BBQ in my opinion, is that it is often just a touch on the dry side.
