Down the tubes. 35 minute wait. after 20, the waitress (only one) offered drinks. Never brought them. Checked out after 35 min. More interested I taking to-go boxes to previous diners. Done with this place.

Great food and service. I've never had poor service; it can be a tad slow when they're swamped, but still within acceptable time. Their lunch menu is great and very reasonably priced. Definitely worth going!

Strike 3-you're out Johnny B's. We called in for a take out order tonight, October 12, 2014 approx 6:30pm. From their online menu, we ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, with mashed potatoes and gravy and a salad and a Bacon Cheeseburger with fries. What we received was an inedible, very rare NY Strip steak, 2 salads and 1 order of fries. No mashed potatoes, no gravy. When we called to inform them, they said they didn't offer chicken fried steak. Hell, when I paid $29.10 for what we thought was a chicken fried steak I even asked the girl "$30 for chicken fried steak? All she said was "yes, it's cheaper at lunch. BIG DEAL!!!! To find out it wasn't what we ordered, and what she "confirmed" it was is VERY BAD BUSINESS. Now for the burger:The burger was totally naked, no tomato, no lettuce, no onion....just a slice or two of bacon and a little bit of cheese on a burger that left my mouth tasting like I had been gassed with ammonia. What is that crap, pink slime? Here it is now, almost midnight and I'm still trying to get that nasty taste out of my mouth and my stomach isn't handling it very well. I almost want to call the health department tomorrow to have your place checked out. This isn't the first bad experience I've had there, it's actually the third. In all fairness, there have been a few very good meals we have received there. I even gave a positive review earlier in the year. At best, it's a 50/50 chance you'll get a decent meal. I don't think we're ever going to risk it again and we live in the hick town.

Large portions of quality food, very reasonable prices, nice clean building with a beautiful view of the Iowa River. If this restaurant was in a larger town, it would have a waiting list every weekend. And did I mention the awesome lunch specials that you can make 2 meals out of for less the $6.00? They have the best prime rib and fish (walleye) I have ever had anywhere. It is well worth the drive if you live outside of Louisa County!

We go whenever we can great salad bar, we always get walleye mashed potatoes I always have to take food home, have food for 3 days, also great river view, we lived in l.A for years have been in all the fancy resaurants, only complaint the bathrooms are freezing

Great place to eat and wonderful location on the river. Watched the full moon rise over the clouds as we ate the excellent food. Very nice!

Five of us drove an hour to get to Johnny
B's new pizza,pasta place. The drive was worth it. The pizza was the best. The pasta was so good we ordered an extra pasta to go. Johnny B's also has a full menu restaurant over looking the Iowa river on the other side of Wapello. Also the mgr. of the pizza place couldn't do enough to make our meal. a success. We'll be back soon.d

It is the Iowa river first of all..

Second the health department hasn't shut them down because it is a VERY clean restaurant..

Food kicks -ss and so does the service anyone say other wise hasn't been there, I eat there twice a week

Johnnie B's has the best food. and the best service i have ever received in a restaurant. I have tried several items on the menu from burgers to seafood. I would suggest this establishment to anyone.

My favorite place to eat. Excellent food and selection. Plus the benefit of being able to sit and watch the Mississippi River flow past the window.
