I was visiting a friend in Ames and decided to try Indian food here. This place has really slow service. It took them 10 minutes to get us some water. The menu options are quite scarce. The food portions are very small for the price you pay. Side dish of chana masala and a full order of malai kofta curry are exactly same in quantity. The regular naan is a store bought frozen naan deep fried to death. When I spoke to the manager about the portions, he was thoroughly condescending and told us and I quote, "The portions are set by my business, my expenses and this is what you will get. If you feel the portions are small, all I can do is suggest that you order more. I can't do anything else." I have never met a more arrogant restaurant owner before. The food was decent in taste which I had mentioned to him before his rant.
The chef will surely come out and ask you if everything is well but rest assured he will not be able to take any criticism.
I have had Indian food in many restaurants over the country but have yet to see such small portions and rudeness of the owner.
In conclusion, I shall never set foot in that place again!
