My first time at Jenkins Barbecue on Emerson was a pleasant surprise with friends, where I tried the highly recommended baby back ribs and fried okra - the fried okra was the best I've ever had, but unfortunately the baby back ribs weren't up to par, however, the staff handled the situation excellently by replacing them, and their 1/2 chicken sandwich with sweet BBQ sauce has become my favorite, making the food always worth the drive across town, despite the dining room needing a bit of cleaning, but the friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and delicious ribs, pork, and unique sauce have left me impressed and eager to return, as Jenkins BBQ has rightfully earned its reputation as the best in Jax with their must-try BBQ offerings.
