Have eaten at this establishment since it opened many years ago. Has gone thru several owners, and easily restaffed a number of times. These changes have not been for the better. I've seen mixxed service, but the one consistant thing ive always observed.

Poor waitress is the norm. Once waited for 20 minutes to place an order, and just as long to get a refill. One of my friends in another group actually had to refill their own drink afterwards. I've never seen a waitress I didn't personally know(even if just they know who i am), provide quality service.

Have regularly gotten poorly or incompletely cooked food, particularly steaks. I'm not one to say this about steaks easily, particularly when I do order rare steaks on occasion. But when I have to order a well done steak to get a rare steak, and its still rare, that's insane. Some cooks have been good, and tend to swing up with quality of service.


After the latest battery of inspections that they failed, its no surprise that they are getting by with second rate management, and questionable staffing. They could be good, but they are a failure in my eyes.

I may visit them in the future, but I doubt it will be of my own choice and very likely a group outing. I hope they improve,but their track record says otherwise.

the food and service was really good. I highly reccomend it if your ever in chanute.
