This Mediterranean restaurant in a gas station truly surprised me with its quality. The lamb gyros and falafel sandwiches are some of the best I've had in Kansas City, and the staff always make me feel welcome. Despite its unassuming location, the food is exceptional and definitely worth a visit.

We tried Dolma & Falafel Appetizers and the Gyro & Shawarma Platters. I had not eaten Pakastani food before, but am used to Greek varieties of dolma and gyro. I thought the food was heavenly. The pita is fresh and very light. The hummus was smooth and light, as well, and seasoned to perfection. The dolma's were a bit mushy and tomatoey, with sauce that was heavy with oregano, seeming too much like pasta sauce to me. The gyro (PLEASE PRONOUNCE THIS "YEERO")was excellent and the shawarma was deelish with a thick, curry sauce. The falafel were some of the best I have ever tasted. (Even better than the ones I make at home.)This delightful cafe is definitely on our list of places to return to. The outside garden will be a regular summer dinner stop for us.
