We have gone to Melissa’s for several years now . Since the business was bought from Melissa the quality of the food has declined to the point we will no longer go back to the restaurant .i hope that the new owner will take note and hire a new chef or cook .

Excellent evening at Melissa's. Very busy but good service and superb food. Pie not to be missed! Owner even came over to visit with us when she heard our Scottish accent!

Excellent food. Tasty vegetables with fried cornbread. The service was good and server was friendly. Outdoor seating available on lovely fall days. Indoor tables and booths with rustic decor. A pleasant dining experience indoors, outdoors or orders to go! 😍

The food is great. Nothing in Versailles compares to it when you consider the taste, the quantity, the quaint & comfortable atmosphere, and the price. Everything is in large portions - usually more than I could begin to consume on my own. My favorites: meatloaf sandwich with fries and brown bean soup with 2 huge cornbread cakes. Desserts are equally as big and scrumptous...my favorite is the creamy peanut butter pie...to die for!

My only complaint is there is simply not enough seating. I realize the cafe is a "cafe" and the atmosphere is supposed to be quaint, but for workig people on a time limit, eating there at lunch is pretty stressful. The cafe is usually packed and it's just hard to get served, take time to enjoy the food (and you will enjoy the food), and make it back to work. Dinner is usually equally as croweded. For people on a tight schedule, dining is really tough if you want to eat the truly wonderful food at Melissa's. If you go there, find and take the time to enjoy every morsel.

Excellent. The food is great. Hats off to the chef. Love the atmosphere of the cafe. Will be going back often.
