I have been going to this place for 25 years (I'm 46 now). There are times when the food was a bit variable but as of late the steaks were always reasonably priced and of descent quality, the service always friendly and Don Keppler, the previous owner, a host with class. This is the first time I have been here since he sold the place. The food was good. The service HORRENDOUS. They asked me TWICE BEFORE I got the food "How everything was". The food arrived in a timely fashion and the steak was cooked properly. When it came time to pay the check I put my AMEX card in the AMEX check presenter. I was then told by the rather AWKWARD female server that "Oh, we don't take AMEX". I then pointed out that they were using AMEX check presenters (which say "We Proudly Accept The American Express Card" AND they STILL have an AMEX sticker on the door. Her reply: "Oh, that doesn't mean anything" REALLY ? I replied. So, I was forced to use a card I didn't want to use. I wrote a nasty note on the receipt, gave her a less than stellar tip and WILL NEVER BE BACK... A REAL shame.

This restaurant is amazing. The food is delicious. The people are friendly and the service was great. Love the new decor.
