08/23/2017 - Mrs Barkely
We showed up at happy hour for the first time. The place is cute, clean with a modern local farm to table feel. Not a lot of beer to choose from but it was ok. However, the description of the food and what arrived was so diametrically opposed it's as if it came from some really cheap fast food place. I had the grilled cheese. It was supposedly a blend of several cheese's but you really could not identify the cheese nor was there much of it. The bread was ok but a little greasy for my taste. Disappointing, I would not order it again.
My husband tried the carne asada fries. It truly looked like carnival nachos from hell. A cold pile of what tasted like frozen potato fries with maybe 5 little less than 1 inch pieces of meat and cold melted cheese. All smothered in a horrible duo of what tasted like ketchup( their homemade salsa) and a super diluted sour cream with lime drowning out whatever flavor the meat had. In general it's somewhat pricy for the area and not certain if we would return to eat, maybe check out their butcher shop.
