We drive 45 miles usually twice a week to Kings for either lunch or supper. Always great service and the food is awesome especially the chicken/sausage gumbo or the smothered liver & onions....:)

I'm a truck driver who would always stop at King's to get their Liver and Onions. I was there Thursday and ordered 2 dinners to go. The 1st on was fine. The 2nd however was horrible. I was given green moldy liver. The green went completely through the meat. There was no way the cook would not have noticed it. And it was on both pieces of the liver. I'm done. Won't ever go back. Will be informing mange mentioned about that cook.

Awesome food ! They renovated the restaurant and it looks great. I overheard the owners talking at a table and I think they are redoing more things. Can't wait ! It's not brand new but it is a little gem on 190. Get the jalapeño burger or the hamburger steak. Sooooooooo good!! Bathrooms are clean too.

Last night (5/10/2014) we went to the restaurant with a party of 11 and our waitress was so unfriendly and rude. They had been busy but don't take it out on us. We had no clean silverware had to use plastic and when we asked for napkins she told us okay you just wait. You could hear her complaining every time she went to the back. We have ate there a lot but I am not sure if I want to go back anymore with that type of service and if we do I do not want her to wait on us.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this place... I have tried almost the whole menu and I have not had NOTHING nasty YET! the service is OKAY. depending on who you get. there are some that work their butts off and some that do the minimum. It is a great family restaurant, I love coming hear with my family. They have there regulars, and since I am from Port Barre when we walk through the doors you will always see someone you know and will have a great time. and if you like the casino scene, while you ordered your food go pay a little bit and try your luck!

Ordered the shrimp po boy. It was good , if you like bread. Hardly no shrimp. I will be finding a new place for shrimp po boy's.

The prices are the best in town! The food is great and so are the employees. It is awesome to see the owners weaving in and out of the mix too! Gotta love a true "Mom and Pop" business. We will be back--and they said new menu items are coming soon! Can't wait.

Great breakfast and the poboys are wonderful. Friendly and prompt service. The only drawback I have is that you must go through Port Barre to get there from Baton Rouge. (The best place to get a traffic ticket -- watch out for cops going slowly in left lane on purpose so you will pass on the right. The perfect "set up". I guess not enough people are speeding these days!)

We "attempted" to eat there today. I say attempted because we never got served and left after 20 minutes of waiting.People who came in after us were approached immediately, but we could not even get eye contact from the servers. I will never return.

very nice restaurant for being in a truck stop and the gaming section is awesome. rewards for playing and live music every Tuesday! great place check it out if you are ever in Louisiana. its right outside port barre and opelousas. look for the young dishwasher.
