Best carnitas in town!!!

Our family has been fans of Cancuns for years. The new owner is so personable and we always have a fantastic time when there. The food has always been fantastic and the Margarita's the best! We love the weekend singers who are excellent! Can't say enough wonderful things about this place!

My husband and I visited Cancun for the first time last night and were pleasantly surprised. The quality and complexity of their cuisine must be the best in Madison. This is not a restaurant that one should order what I refer to as American/Mexican food - forget the items that are typically available at Taco Bell and explore their seafood, poultry or meat offerings. The Carnitas are the best I have had, and I've had Carnitas from many, many restaurants and Mexican grocery stores. We will return again and again to experience Chef Joaquin's creations.

Very good food and service. It was our first time and we really enjoyed their live music this past weekend. We will be back for my daughter's birthday. Keep up the good work.

Best Mexican restaurant in town I highly recommended it. Check their seafood menu with their amazing fisherman stew.

Me and my girlfriend were two Saturdays ago and the food was great. It was our first time there and we had a great time we really enjoyed the live mariachis, we will definitely be back. We highly recommended it.

We heard there were New owners and New menu, so we went there on New Year's Eve and the food and the service were great. The margaritas were very good. It was a good dining experience because everyone there is very nice.

Positively the worst meal I've had in Madison. I ordered chicken burrito & enchilada. I only got one or the other, too mushy to tell. No flavor, very blah. There was a lot of liquid all around the plate. Tons of lettuce over the top, was suppose to have sliced avocado, there was none. My dining companion also did not get what he ordered and real mushy. Won't go near the place again.

I just stopped at this place today. First off I think all the people here that wrote reviews really have no idea what good Mexican food is. All the food was plain, very limited flavor. The enchilada was mush, it also looked and tasted like throw up. I ordered the chicken burrito. The burrito first came covered in nacho cheese sauce (after I specifically said no sauce on it). I have never known an authentic Mexican restaurant to use nacho cheese on a burrito. The burrito itself was dry, and flavorless also. I have moved to Wisconsin after living in southern California and let me tell all the people here something-You have absolutely no idea what good Mexican food is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is really good. I tried the quesadia MIa and it is so good. The chef is an amazing cook and the guy that makes the margaritas is really good at making drinks and the people that work there are really nice.

Me and my wife had dinner there last night and the new menu is very good. I highly recommended, also now the service is great as well as their wonderful dessert tray.

honestly? really? i ordered a combo platter with a burrito, chalupa, and taco and would have rather spend half the money for twice the quality at taco bell. they screwed up my order giving me beef instead of chicken, which i should thank them for because the chicken that they do serve (my girlfriend ordered the chicken) tastes like something out of a can. the tomato that was served with my chalupa was still green?! and stiff?! only was able to eat half of my plate. but on the plus side the salsa is delicious along with the free chips, but you'll have to eat a whole lot of both to get any real satisfaction out of the meal.

Stopped in on a whim last night on my way home last night... we're from Milwaukee, a meeting in Madison ran late and we were hungry for some Mexican food. We had no idea what we were stepping into but absolutely LOVED Cancun. Great service & atmosphere. Reasonably priced food. Excellent Menu selections. Didn't try any margaritas but the beer selection is great. I'd go back just for the Queso Fundidos appetizer. Try this place!!

I'm a UW student and was on a mission with my girlfriend to find a decent Mexican restaurant. Cancun's is the best Mexican restaurant I've been to so far in the Madison area. The employees were very nice and the food was authentic. The complimentary chips and salsa were great. Not like that flavorless stuff you get at Frida's (A very bad experience which I had just a few days ago. The food was just plain. And white rice and a mexican restaurant?). If you're looking for good Mexican food and margaritas, I recommend Cancun's.
