The lobster roll at Doug's was the highlight of my trip, featuring perfectly cooked, tender, and sweet lobster meat on a beautifully grilled sesame seed bun. With a diverse menu that includes everything from chowder to unique lobster grilled cheese sandwiches, this casual eatery is a must-visit for anyone in the Port Clyde area.

went 2 weeks ago...was looking forward to great food from what I heard from friends and neighbors abouts Doug's place in Port Clyde years back. 5 of us ordered different dishes...but all of us were somewhat disappointed in our food. Fried fish was cooked way too long with a very dark, almost burnt appearance. Lobster chowder was pretty lackluster along with a very thin, so-so clam chowder. But, I really liked the fries!
Also, the tarter sauce is really fake
tasting...like from McDonald's...
People are saying they are not going back, but I will give Doug's another chance. Looks like they need to fix a few problems, or they will lose local customers...
