10/28/2010 - Mary Ann Lizondo
A week ago we on vacation, anticipating a good French meal, went to the Au Petit Paris. It was a terrible disappointment. We ordered two specials at 32.99 each - seabass with crab and a duck breast with cherry sauce. It was obvious to me that the seabass as well as the crab had been frozen. The sauce was nondescript. The duck breast was dry and tasteless. The vegetables, overcooked green beans and potatoes, were NOT what we have experienced in any other French restaurant in France or the U.S. Despite the fact that there were two servers and only 6 other customers (then 4) in the restaurant, we had to ask for and wait 30 minutes for bread, and we were never offered a refill on water. We paid a total of $105.00 for the two entrees, the least expensive bottle of wine (which was very good) and an undeserved tip. We consider this restaurant a disappointment, a waste of time and money.
