Used a coupon several years ago with my wife at Fritzie's. My wife ordered a ham sandwich and I got a shrimp salad sandwich. I also ordered a side of fries. The order came and I paid the bill using the coupon which was good for up $5.00. My shrimp salad sandwich was almost $10.00, my wife's sandwich was almost 9:00. The side order of fries were about $3.00.
Fritzie (?) the owner, who was running the cash register told me the bill was $19.00 plus tax. I asked what about the coupon for $5.00 off. She replied that the coupon was good for ANY ITEM on the menu UP TO $5.00. So she used the coupon for the fries and NOT towards one of the sandwiches. So, I thought okay, Fritzie's beat me for $2.00 Lesson learned.
The shrimp salad sandwich was horrible. There were TWO shrimps on the entire thing. The rest was celery, lettuce and dressing. My wife's sandwich wasn't any better. A little meat, on stale bread! Have not been back since. I know the restaurant has been on Groupon for several years offering deals. I would not go back if they were GIVING the food away!
