Typically when I visit Memphis I like to stop by Southwind Fish to grab a Cod Fish Dinner. The service is always unprofessional but the food has always been great. I visited the restaurant on 3/28/14 and the fish that I looked forward to eating was frozen and over breaded. The service was horrible as usual. The cashier never makes I contact, the staff doesn't make an effort to engage the customer or even show that they appreciate their business. I was disappointed with the fish because typically its not frozen breaded cod. When I ask if they changed if she was selling a different type of cod her answer was just YES. If your dining in it would be more professional to have the television on news, sports, something other than entertainment garbage.

Food is great and I would love to frequent this place as it is not far from home. But the employees that I have dealt with when placing an order have no customer service skills whatsoever. Customer Service=Friendly, not directly to the point, and definitely not with an attitude in your voice. My husband is the one who picks up the food and he was not pleased.

I GIVE A JUST OK RATING BECAUSE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. NO GREETING, NO THANK YOU, JUST NOTHING BUT GOOD FOOD. I USE TO GO THERE EVERY WEEKEND TO EAT BECAUSE THE FOOD IS GOOD BUT NOW BECAUSE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SO POOR AND SHOW NO IMPROVEMENT I ONLY STOP BY EVERY NOW AND THEN.

I realize that this restaurant is not for every one but based own what I experience I give it two thumbs up. Food is great and service is great. For those who complain its obvious that you are the problem so take your business else where. I have told everybody about it so your measly few dollars will not be needed. Stop hating... South wind you are amazing. Ill see you Friday....

Southwind Fish is by far the best fish eatery in East Memphis.The fish is always fresh and cooked to order.Their butterfly shrimp are to die for.Once you've eaten at Southwind Fish you will definitely come back.

I agree with the previous review. The food is AWESOME. I would pay gold for the food however, the service sucks. It's so bad that we only stop by once every other week when we were stopping by every Friday. Poor service is NOT COOL and can cost more money for your business in the long run.

Although the food is wonderful, the service leaves a bit to be desired. It is your basic hole in the wall restaurant, clean, and well kept. The area of town is decent, no real worries there. In fact, the only reason I gave service such a low rating is because the lady on the register is about as rude as a rabbit dog! She makes you not want to eat there because you know you can go somewhere else and feel a little more appreciated. She's rude on the phone and rude in person. She's just RUDE!
