Mel's is a fantastic local general store with delicious ice cream and all the essentials for cabin life, including snowmobile fuel.

Mel's now has new owners now and called Mr. Bib's. They have done an amazing job with both the quantity and quality of the convenience items you can purchase at the store but also have the most amazing food around. The have expanded their menu and not only offer pizza but 15 different subs and other food choices. They offer a breakfast pizza to die for and their staff is always polite and courteous at all times. People come from downtown Baldwin just for the food and ice cream. Don't let this one pass you bye!!!!

Ate the pizza there and it was wonderful, quality products and worth the wait. The new owners are wonderful too!

Ordered a pizza. Waited 20 min. When picking it up inside was & asked to also buy a large (3 scoops) of ice cream with my $20 pizza purchase was told I had to go outside and wait in line for ice cream. I called Audrey the owner the next day. She told me that is right because some people buy a 10 cent piece of candy inside so they can get ice cream without waiting. She said tat was like cutting in line. I had already waited 20 min. After I called in my pizza and was spending $20 not 10 cents. She told me she is the owner & she can make the rules . She told me if I want to buy the business I could make the rules & she then hung up on me. That was my last purchase there!

WONDERFUL thin crust pizza! We crave it all winter...but this treat is only available in the summer. Too bad!

You People Must Be High Its So great Mel Can;t Even Sell the Place the food and service are so bad better off going to Ruby Creek thats a real place

The people who work there are just amazing, and they make sure you get wnat you want. The pizza is the best in own, and the little s tor inside is very convenient to have right around the corner when your up at the lake.

Great atmosphere for an up north store/food service vendor. The pizza is not very good, but their donuts are EXCELLENT. Could add gormet coffee and high speed internet to attract additional patronage!
