Family-run spot with delicious corned beef hash and basted eggs on sourdough bread. The salad bar was a nice touch in the cozy atmosphere that felt like dining at grandma's house. The homemade bread was a standout, and the friendly service made for a pleasant stop during our travels.

i was in Mcgowans rest a couple of months ago for the first time since i was sixteen the food was great the atmosphere was wonderful the cook is well a master and the whole family run thing isn't something that you get all time it's nice to see that for a change everyone that stops inthere feels like your at home eating with the family
