We were at the homestead a month ago the food was not good at all we were very disappointed with the taste it was always good food

My husband and I were there 2 weeks ago and hadn't been there for awhile. Its not one of our favorite restaurants but I wanted blueberry pie and they always made excellent blueberry pie. I ordered the fish cakes dinner and my husband ordered the seafood chowder. He was extremely disappointed with the chowder and if you can imagine it came with garlic bread!! Whoever heard of serving garlic bread with seafood chowder. A nice homemade fluffy roll is what you would normally get in most restaurants. The chowder tasted liked canned chowder. My fishcakes were not great but the vegs weren't even eatable. As for the pie I think it was last weeks. Very disappointed with this restaurant now. We definetley will not be returning. Oh yes and the bill was roughly $38. Some meal for that. Thank you I will continue to go to Steves Restaurant.

the white or chocolate cakes with boiled icing used to be a treat with real homemade boiled icing- Now it tastes and has consistency of marshmallow fluff. Pies as well made with packaged product.- great desserts at one time- now not so much.

I was there Monday night,I had ham and potato scallop.the potatoes tasted like something out of a box,I should of said something but didn't.for the price wasn't worth it.very disappointed.
