Visited yesterday after many years. loved that nothing seemed changed at all. These days, that was a lovely surprise. Enjoyed the background music and the friendly service. Was in the mood for oysters. Was not disappointed. They were large and tasty and totally unsandy!! A cup of chowder, beer and fries was enough to fill me up, but I couldn`t resist an order of steamed clams which I also enjoyed. All around, a charming friendly atmosphere satisfied me and made my day.

Got there a little late on Sunday 8:15 pm made us sit by the bar and tried to rush us out by 9 we had to return two platters because it was under Cooked and by 8:50 they started to shut the lights off and asking us if we needed boxes . We asked if it was OK if we finish our food

Thorofare location was a Disgusting grease soaked batter no fish night gallery. Fries terrible, Mussels dry as the Sahara & Calamari should be used for fish bait not fit for humans. Add a few beers and came to $120. We would have been better eating at Chick filet.

I love the fact that it is out of the way and the area looks like a throw back to the early 1900's. It's not pretentious at all and for the most part the seafood is good. I do have a problem with the flame throwing cocktail sauce. I need to bring my own when I dine there.

My now-husband got me here (then on old rt. 130) for a first date, after exclaiming about the spicy shrimp. The King Crab legs have been my favorite for 39 years. I do miss the floor covered with peanut shells, and the clay shell parking lot, but...

This is NOT a highbrow, gourmet spot. It's a wonderful, down-to-earth contrast to the politely-reserved aura of our hometowns, further north.

This place is a gem hidden away and that keeps it a quiet place for great seafood. Love the snow crab legs and the combo dinners. If I want seafood it is the only place I go.

Totally unorganized, had to cancel, Mothers Day was ruined. People packed in the liquor store like sardines violating every part of the cover 19 order. Lost orders and a wait time of two hours more from what your pick up time was , very sad.

Mostly 'Applebee's meets old west saloon'...for a place with a wide variety of seafood on ice for take-out, the menu is disappointingly limited. What you CAN order is pretty ok...ish, but the "lobster bisque" would be better suited for hanging wallpaper at best and laying bricks at its worst- like a bowl of hot, wet dough.

We have eaten here every Good Friday First in the old one and then in the new. For over 35 years or more. This is a disappointment to not be there this year. We will be taking out!! Be safe everyone there till we can come back in!!!
😊

Came in with husband and sister ordered seafood platters and shrimp platter. The food was old and dry over cooked inedible really sad We told the sever and she just brought out the bill and said it was nothing she could do
So I paid the bill and it was nothing I could do about the tip

Great crabs and clams. A seafood Paradise tucked away in West Deptford. Haven't tried the burger yet. Don't know why anyone even orders it when the first it's so good.

Had Snapper soup here years ago and was pretty good. Today....watered down canned Bookbinders. Obviously not homemade anymore.

If you're in the mood for some awesome, honestly prepared seafood, Captain Cats is a sure thing!...they don't pretend to be something that they're not...ice cold draft beer, raw and steamed appetizers, homemade bisques and chowders, and quality platters of lightly breaded (or broiled) delicacies such as fried oysters, king crab legs and shrimp, and the best crab cakes this seafood snob has ever devoured, await you in the intimate restaurant (attached to a neighborhood bar which holds many memories!)...if you value extremely fresh seafood prepared daily, then visit Captain Cats for a quality feast!

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY ENEMY. SAFE YOUR STOMACH AND YOUR TOILET PAPER.
