I have been going to the Ritz Diner for many years. They have great food and great service. I also go there three or four times a year to pick up delicious cheesecakes for family get togethers during the holidays.

I grew up in this area and was here on 10/19/15 after a HS reunion on the previous weekend. I was here at about 4:30PM. There was hardly anyone in the place, but lots of staff and managers griping at each other. I sat at the counter and wanted pie, coffee, and water, but no one even asked me what I wanted until I started looking around. The coffee was mediocre, the pie was OK. But some waitress threw my check at me before I even finished my pie. No one asked whether I wanted a second cup, or anything else for that matter. I am an exceptionally good tipper, and tip even for average service. I did not leave a dime for anyone at this place, and will spread the word among family and friends that still live here to avoid this place like the plague. My impression of places like this is that they treat their employees even worse than they treat customers and are very poorly managed.

There food is amazing . I like their French toast . I also like their cupcakes that look like cookie monster . I like their eggs ,bacon, pancakes, French fries , and last but not least I like their honey mustard . RITIZ dinner is the best. I go their all the time even on an holiday s and my birthday to. That is why I love RITIZ DINNER SO MUCH!!

Was in your diner on Wed 3-25-15,after not visiting for years, had a cold and wanted soup and some home made sweets, ordered soup an d woman at registered demanded my money right then and there, not allowing me to go t o backery to order PIE and cheese Danish, I must say she was rude crude and demanding, making me feel very uncomfortable ,and not wanting to visit the Ritz ever again

I will not eat at this diner ever again, as a resident of livingston for 16 years I have eaten here occasionally and have never really liked the food but still would go once in awhile with frienda. Yesterday, I went in with my sister for a quick lunch and I ordered chicken fingers, well me not being a picky eater ate one and soon found out that they were over done, dry and the outer crust was burnt. So I did what anyone would do and sent them back because I am not paying for crap food. A minute later the owner came out and yelled at me for sending them back stating that in 30 years of being in business she had never had chicken fingers sent back, well ive worked in the service industry managing a bar and grille, and working as a line cook and theres a certain way you handle situations like that and that was not one of them if she did not run back into the kitchen in hiding she would have been given a piece of my mind. The short woman with short blonde hair is crazy and very rude I urge people not to give her your business

Most of the food at the Ritz is really good. My favorite is the Turkey Bowl and I love their egg white omelets. The food is the draw. The atmosphere is overcrowded and noisy at desirable times but it is very kid friendly. I also must mention my husband's favorite food it is the chocolate chip pancakes. Amazing. They have excellent apple pies to take out as well. Try the Ritz off hours for a comfort food experience.
