The food is passable. The service is almost non-existent. And the prices are way too high for simply passable food. This is NOT NYC. I realize that Bloomfield has delusions of grandeur, but how about you let the delusions become reality before you set prices that reflect a grandeur that has yet to be realized.

There are more Latin restaurants in Newark, with really good, literal home cooked meals that cost less. So it is possible to offer that kind of service and still make a living without trying to syphon the little bit of "extra" cash people have in these cold, dark days of recession.
