I had the opportunity to dine at Sorento's twice recently. The service was excellent, and the manager, Xavier, and wait staff are attentive to every detail. The ambiance is lovely, very elegant, with Italian music playing in the background. The food was outstanding on both occasions, and the portions were ample. This definitely has become one of my favorite restaurants that I plan to visit frequently. The Valet service is an added plus as well - no need to search for parking. Perfect in every way.

This is our favorite restaurant because the food is not your average cookie cutter Italian style restaurant. That being said, I had my daughter's bridal shower here because I knew the quality and service were excellent. My guests agreed, commenting how everything was spectacular! The food is wonderful, the service is attentive.

Food has improved over the year to excellent. The owners are very attentive and the service is first class. The decor is lovely and the mural on the ceiling is a truly elegant touch. If this were in New York instead of East Rutherford, it would be a neighborhood gem.

Great service, wonderful ambiance, food just OK.
4 people- 2 send back their entree. Bolognese sauce was very watery & lacked taste.Pasta (rigatoni) was not al dente but actually hard.
3rd meal of a veal dish was good but not really fabulous as expected and also very skimpy in size. Chicken dish simialar to a scaparella was excellent.

feels like you are home..the owner is so sweet and greets and talks to you.. she is always there and makes sure to visit each table and is so gracious..everybody knows each other and the food is great. service outstanding...and the desserts all homemade..they are very very accommodating..the decor is elegant and make you feel special..a must do....
