Awesome food awesome service

It should be zero stars.
I waited 10 mins for anyone to speak or acknowledge my presence at the hostess stand to be pointed to the bar area for a to go order. I asked the gentleman who I presume was a host how long would a simple order of gator bites take? He said 5-10 mins
I found a line at the bar with no signage and no staff. When one staff member entered, he didn't acknowledge or even look at any of us.
After 10 mins of waiting, a bartender comes out to assist us.
This guy has no sense of urgency or any manners to acknowledge anyone waiting in line. Or that we should apparently be waiting at the end of the bar to make an order. There's no signage either
I waited until a pushier customer started inquiring for help, she was behind me.
Finally I explained that my family was waiting for me in the car but my son's heart was set on getting some gator bites today. The French market was sold out
The bartender said I don't know how long let me ask the kitchen
He proceeded to talk to his co workers about a game, check out two guests and then return to me ask if I'm going to order anything
I gently reminded him that he was going to ask the kitchen how long it would take because I have my family waiting
He said he can't. It's a kitchen you know how it is.
I DO IN FACT KNOW HOW IT IS, having worked in restaurants for years. This was an absurd experience. If they had been crowded I would have never asked but they were dead at 2:30 pm in the afternoon on a Tuesday.
I said nevermind and as I walked out the door he gave a half hearted apology with my back to him.
I WILL NEVER RETURN OR RECOMMEND. My advice to the manager is to get your staff on the same page and teach that bartender some people skills.
