I worked in Hard Times Cafe as a waitress/busser in summer 2002 and must say that the food was delicious. The owner Lisa Sheldrick was very ambitious, driven and hard-working, had completely redone the menu while also offering great lunch and dinner specials. The Taco Salad or Burrito were my lunch favourites as well as Turkey dinner. From soups my favourite was the NY Clam Chowder or Beef and Barley Soup. Whaever you chose you were not disapppinted as the food was really home made, wholesome and the prices very reasonable. A great choice of drinks and spirits to complement a nice evening meal and a choice of delicious pies! Definitely worth to visit. This comes with "Sincere Greetings" to Lisa for whom I had deep admiration and wish her lots of success.
