Having moved to Conover at the age of eight, I've enjoyed the flavors of No 1 Kitchen for as long as I can remember. The cheese wontons are incredible, and the sesame chicken is truly unforgettable. Each visit brings a sense of nostalgia, while the generous portions and friendly staff continue to impress me.

Thought we would give No.1 Kitchen a chance after not eating there for 5 years. We thought maybe they changed owners possibly. Everything was overcooked and caked in oil. Worst Chinese food we have eaten. We were also overcharged $8.00 and told they added sesame chicken for free. In truth, someone obviously didn't pick up their order and we got charged for it. Super expensive for food that doesn't even taste good. We will be going back to Golden China.
