10/16/2010 - GROGANS AND PETERS
Just returned from our vacation at the Waterfall Cabin in Franklin, NC. One of the highlights of our trip was our visits to Stamey's Cafe. The owners, Floss and Wanda, were so pleasant and friendly, and the food and service was Great!!! We looked forward to our breakfast with them three mornings and we were never disappointed. The pecan pancakes, biscuits and ham were awesome! We had dinner at Stamey's one night and if you like old fashioned cooking you will love their chicken fried steak, fried green tomatoes, mashed potatoes, squash casserole and coconut pie!! Yummy!!! If you are ever in Franklin,NC make Stamey's one of your stops and tell Floss and Wanda we said "Hello". Anita & Frank Grogan and Jocelyn & Wayne Peters

We are retired to Franklin, but we eat at Stameys at least 4 or 5 times a month. We usually go for breakfast, and the staff is very friendly and efficient. All breakfast items I've tried have been great. If you are visiting Franklin, go to Stamey's for breakfast! Their other meals are good, too, but breakfast is excellent -- they serve breakfast all day long.

This is a little late, but I just found this site. My husband and I was down Franklin this summer for a week at 4th of July. Our first morning there, we went to Stamey's for breakfast. I'll never forget it. Everyday for a week we went there and had French toast and Sausage (never did try anything else.) Everything was fresh and homemade. It was the best French toast and sausage that we have ever had. We are from Pittsburgh, Pa. and we fell in love with Franklin and This Cafe. The food was great , the employees were wonderful. We will be going back to Franklin next summer for vacation, and you had better believe we will be a regular at Stamey's again. Ruthann and Jim Burke

The food was reasonably priced in this homey, small cafe whose motto is "Love, Peace and Biscuits". We savored the food (the biscuits were, indeed, good and flaky), but most appreciated the friendliness of the staff. We would stop here again, should we ever happen through Franklin!
