Thelma Lou's BBQ & Grill is a great place to go for lunch - good food at good prices. A plateful looks like too much, but you won't be able to stop until it is all gone. If you have an airplane, fly in at the Shelby KEHO airport; it is right 0.4 miles from the FBO. Walk south past the hangars, down the slope, and around the cemetery - it will be right across the street, with a parking lot full of pickup trucks - very much a country-style restaurant. I like their business card: "A pig, a chicken, and a cow walk into a Bar-B-Q. The end." .
