Hey, if you've been here before and weren't impressed, give it another shot. I wasn't a fan when I first came a while back, but now with new management, the food has improved and the prices are better. The focus is on sushi now, and they go by 'Sushi Bonsai'. The sushi was really impressive, especially the Boat for One with Nigiri, Sashimi, and a special roll like the Salmon Lover. The special rolls like Cherry Blossom, Red Diamond, Yummy Roll, and Bentley were tasty, and on Wednesdays and Thursdays, it's Buy One Get One free. Lunch was quick, with great service and value, and the wine pours were generous. I visited with my mom before flying back to LA, and we loved the friendly owner, attentive server, and delicious food at Bonsai. The prices were great with good specials, and the rolls and Seaweed salad were all delicious and came out fast. I'll definitely be back when I visit NC again. The service on Thursday night was fantastic, prices were great, and the food was delicious. The Hibachi is the best around, and the sushi is fresh and diverse. The bento box combo is a favorite, offering a choice of Hibachi with a half serving of sushi roll, dessert, and drink for around $7. The sushi might not be fancy, but it's still enjoyable, and the service is personable and good.

Sushi is quite good with a great selection and new items added often. Nice family that runs the restaurant!
