The place is awesome. Privately owned. The pies and caramel bun and blueberry muffin was off the charts. Very friendly staff. I love this town!

The food is not homemade, overcooked. Chicken fried steak was tough, over cooked, no gravy with it, and tasted like the liver and onion special they had that night. Clearly they fry everything together. The corn came from a can. The buffalo burgers are processed patties, dry, and plain as can be. No wine or beer. We paid for our dinner, left without eating it, and ate somewhere else. We were very disappointed. If eating dinner in Medora, skip this place.

I LOVE THE COWBOY CAFE! It is the only place i eat when i am in medora, I know i will always get amazingly prepared food, and the service is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
