Depends on which Taco Villa you visit. If you visit the one on 42nd st you know the quality of the food won't be as good as it could be. All the other locations are great, fresh food every time and staff is super friendly. My boyfriend took me to Taco Villa for the first time. It was delicious!! I got the Guadalajara chalupa with chicken and a beef taco. Both were so tasty and the taco meat tasted homemade. The Taco Villa hot sauce was the bomb. The grand finale was the sopapillas - which were the best I ever had! I had to go back the next day for more sopapillas! So yummy!! Taco Villa is my new addiction when I go to Odessa!! I have ate at this taco villa for about 30 years and they are still pretty consistent. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they really need to fill up their burritos with more beans salsa cheese etc. I want one of those messy burritos like back in the day!! I have been here twice today and I'm Gonna tell you Edna greeted me with the best smile and was so incredibly helpful and Perry made my burritos and they were both JOHNNY ON THE SPOT! I was born here and taco villa is a MUST STOP and take to go BACK TO OKLAHOMA bc WE LOVE TACO VILLA ODESSA!! thanks perry and Edna for the incredible experience in 31 years!!! Decided to drop into this Taco Villa while working in the area. Despite it being near a busy cross street, it wasn't very busy. I'll be honest I never know what to buy and haven't found a favorite choice yet. This particular time I got the La Guadalajara Chulupa which is acabado, lettuce, and cheese stacked on a fried corn tortilla. Vegetarian friendly and delicious. I got my food within 7 minutes of ordering, loaded up some sliced pickled jalapeños and pico de gallo at the condiment/salsa bar and was on my way. This was a very quick trip for delicious food so if you need something quick and texmex, stop at this Taco Villa. Lovely experience here, per usual. I came in at 9:50, had my food by 9:55. I ordered a sausage and egg burrito with red sauce, and a meat burrito with extra red, and they tasted superb. Also, the woman working the register was extremely friendly, overall, it was a perfect experience. For my 100th review I wanted to write something special, so what better than a love letter for my favorite place growing up, and quite possibly my favorite fast food spot of all time. Taco Villa encapsulates everything you could ask for in a fast food restaurant; friendly staff, clean facilities, and most importantly phenomenal food. A well-oiled machine to say the least, and as much of an institution as Rosas is in this town. The bread and butter of this place is in the name, and that's the tacos! Growing up I don't think I appreciated just how nice it was to have access to a really good crunchy taco (the rest of the world seems to not understand hard shell and use soft tacos as a stand in), and is always my go to when I come back home. The meat is so falavorful and tasty, lettuce and tomatoes are fresh, and the grated cheese is fresh and has a nice melted texture from the meat. Also, you really don't need to get fancy on the tacos, the basic crunchy one will do. For burritos, which actually may be my favorite, quite a selection to choose from. If you're feeling carnivorous go for the meat burrito...soooo much of that tasty meat is packed into it, something a little lighter get the bean, or something in between go for that combo burrito (best balance). Oh and if they ask you for which sauce go red...green is spicier but I guess I just grew up on that classic red. Nachos/curly fries are a great way to round out a meal too. The heart shape chips are iconic, and for these I would recommend just getting the combo. You get bean and meat with jalapenos, so really what else would you want?? Bobby Cox was quite the visionary to have amassed the fast food empire he controls in West Texas. People might say that Rosas is the crown jewel, but for my money it'll always be with this place. This review wasn't really for anyone local, since this is a no duh type of place to go to, but if you're from out of town and are visiting our humble city make sure to circle this place to visit, it won't be disappointing!

Very poor fast Mexican food, Taco Bell better.
