I just had lunch at the Smithville Inn. The place is very well worn, stained carpet and a musty smell throughout.
Ordered the creamed chicken over potatoes & biscuits ......not much taste. It came with coleslaw that was old and rancid. This restaurant might have been great 20 years ago, but is passed it's time, despite it's history..

This is not a 3 $$$ Restaurant. The food very good. A lot of history in this old inn. They have a nice family style chicken dinner. Call ahead for reservations on holidays for sure.

Why a 3 $$$ rating? This place is incredibly consistent in the tastiness of their preparations and their prices are a joy!!! Try the chicken salad - like no other you've ever had!!!
