The Chile Rellenos and Queso at El Palacios are absolutely delicious! The atmosphere may be a bit divey, but the food is definitely worth the visit. My colleagues and I always enjoy dining here, especially for the flavorful Chile Rellano - it's my personal favorite. While I wish the queso was a bit thinner to complement the crispy homemade chips better, the overall prices and ambiance make El Palacios a great choice for Mexican cuisine enthusiasts like us.

Enjoyed food, but restaurant was disheveled, sloop and the service was very slow. Waitress was very good, but for some reason it forever and a day to get our food. By then we were pretty much full on chips and salsa, which in my 65 years of enjoying TexMex, is my favorite"¦ Hands down!! I live 4 hours north and would LOVE IT if they could ship their salsa, it's that good!!

OK, first of all, DO NOT call yourself a MEXICAN restaurant if the food is "Americanized Mexican Food"...Went for a lunch with a party of more than 15, they bring my plate (shrimp platter) COLD -ss fried, and shrimp. When I ask you to take it back you stick it in the microwave for LESS than a minute and think I wouldn't notice?? Then when I tell you I wasn't going to pay for it, YOUR cashier person (older lady) gets an attitude!! really??? Then you throw change to 3 of my friends who were African Americans! but HAND everyone else (white) ppl their change/credit cards. Your owners should be ashamed at the staff they have working there....You will NEVER have my business again.

The food is very good. We eat there an average of twice a week. If not very hungry we order fajitas or large fish and 2 drinks. Do not appreciate extra plate charge when not asking for extra plate. Will probably slow down eating there.

The food is good but I can hardly eat in this restaurant because it just isn't clean. I do not understand why the owners don't paint and clean the place up. I also have a problem with the waitresses and their 3 inch finger nails. That is NOT sanitary and I do not appreciate being served by someone with nails that long. I have no idea how many germs live under those nails.

This place is so good (food-wise) but doesn't have good service as far as the past few times i have been there. so if you don't mind waiting a little while than the food will be worth it.
