Taco Mayo holds its own against Taco Bell, offering decent grub at wallet-friendly prices. The Chicken Fresh Mex Burrito and Beef and Bean Burrito combo only set me back $9, and the fire sauce added a nice kick. While there are better Mexican food joints out there, Taco Mayo is a solid choice in Altus, kind of like a budget-friendly version of Chipotle. The service can be hit or miss, but the customizable soda machine is a fun touch, and the fresh-made tortillas are usually tasty. Overall, Taco Mayo is a good fast food option in Altus, earning 4 stars for its quality compared to other local spots.
