I moved to the Essex area 5 months ago and I've seen been looking for a restaurant that makes Falafel that is as good as the store that I was used to in Kitchener. It took a number of tries all of which did not turn out well. Making Falafel is a tricky business. It doesn't take much to botch it. So, one day after finishing my purchase at The Pastry Place and More, right next door (and a fantastic bakery btw), I decided to give Hamoudi's a try. I was expecting to be disappointed--but thankfully I had struck gold. This has to be the best Falafel that I've ever had that isn't mine or "home made." My home made Falafet is more tasty because I used olive oil to fry it and a few other ingredients that are secret to my mother and myself. Still---I'm not going to bother making my own any more since Hamoudi's is so delicious and making it from scratch is so labour intensive. Hamoudi's falafel is excellent They really know what they're doing. I have not tried many other items on the menue; but I have a feeling that I will not be disappointed. If you want Falafel, this is the place to go.
