My absolute favorite spot for roast chicken! I went for an early lunch and got the half chicken meal - the chicken was cooked perfectly with crispy golden skin and tender meat, just how I remembered it from our last trip to Quebec. The coleslaw, dressed in vinaigrette style with freshly cut cabbage, was also a highlight for me. The service was excellent, with a patient and knowledgeable server who made sure my experience as a non-French speaker was smooth. It got busier around 12:30pm, so we decided to take our food to go, but overall, it was a great experience and I'll definitely be back. The wait time was about 15 minutes, but the food was worth it. I tried the Lunch&Go menu and ordered the Chicken vol-au-vent a la jardiniere with coleslaw, which was perfect. The meal was warm and delicious, and the portion size was just right. The brownies for dessert were a nice touch, served with warm chocolate. The total cost was under $15, including tax, and I will definitely be returning. The service was quick and attentive, and the variety of food options, from chicken to steak, was impressive. One of my favorite places to dine, and I've never been disappointed. One tip: try the cheese sticks, they're amazing! The waitstaff is attentive and checks in regularly to ensure everything is to your liking. If you're dining during peak hours, consider sitting on the bar side for faster seating, especially if you're with adults only.
