01/31/2013 - Vivienne Smith
This is a hidden gem - all of the soups, dressings, sauces & desserts are made in-house, and the preparation and presentation of the food is excellent! I have enjoyed lunch or dinner there at least 20 times in the past several months - well worth the 12 mile drive. The mushroom florentine soup is my favorite soup, but the house black bean soup is always a good choice. My favorite entree is the salmon, served with a wonderful yellow rice & fresh-steamed vegetables. The house salad of mixed greens with cranberries, blue cheese & pecans is a meal in itself with the vegetarian mushroom cap appetizer. Save room for dessert! The Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Frosting and the creme brulee choices are wonderful, and the coffee is excellent as well.
