The food here is usually pretty good, and while the wait isn't crazy, the interior could use a refresh since it feels a bit outdated. My coworker and I enjoyed a nice lunch with tasty chicken quesadillas, corn chowder, and delicious rice pudding, plus our friendly server made sure we had a great experience.

I was in Dover Valley Rest on Sunday 11-24-24.. I had ordered a 4 piece white meat broasted chicken dinner. The 2 breast were dried out and looked as though the breast's were cut out where the meaty part of meat is supposed to be on breast and the wings were not whole wings and the wing meat smelled awful. I called the store back and explained to Rebecca the person who answered the phone and explained to her the situation at hand. She had all kinds of excuses about they were so busy on Sunday and the grease hadn't been changed that's why the breast was dried out and about the wings not being whole wings she stated that's how the meat comes into store. I asked was there anything she could do about my situation at hand. She bluntly told me no and as I was trying to get a clear understanding to why not, Rebecca hung up on me. I find her action to be rude and unprofessional.
I called the restaurant Monday morning to speak with management but Tasha the manager had left for the day already and I was told I could reach her today from 6-11am. I called and spoke with Tasha today 11-26-24 and she told me the same thing about that's how their meat comes in and there wasn't anything she could do today because I needed to have brought the din̈ner back but when I tried to do that on Sunday, Rebecca told me it wasn't anything the restaurant could do for me and I wasn't going to waste my time driving fron York back to Dover PA. I Wasted my money $16.41 . I still had to get something else to eat after the disappointment in that sorry chicken dinner with
bad aroma coming from wing and dried out breast. Well I have no desire to ever patronize Dover Valley restaurant in , Dover PA ever again because of their rudeness and unprofessionalism of treating customers so harshly and not trying to resolve matter at hand. Customer service stinks and they don't have to ever worry about me spending a dime in their establishment again. Ever, never.

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, but the interior seemed a bit outdated. The food was good, but the prices were on the higher side and seemed to be increasing. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience with friendly service and decent portion sizes, although the wait for food was a bit long at times.

I get a western omlet where ever I eat breakfast. Ate with my wife on 10/17. Had a western omlet. Told the young man at the register it was the worst I ever had. It should of been called a green pepper omlet. Had to hunt for the VERY TINY pieces of ham. Guy at the register acted like "who gives a sh-t". Well, I do. And I will NEVER EVER eat there again and I will warn people not to eat there. Even my wife, who eats there quite often, said it was bad.

Great family diner... come on people they mske THEir oWN recipe's. I recommend lunch easy on the pocketbook great diner.

I tried to visit at 7:45PM. Posted they're open til 8:00. One waitress just rolled her eyes at me as if I were annoying her. Another finally opened the door saying, "We're closin' early...it's slow." How rude and unwelcoming. First time. Won't be a back a second.

Excellent employees, menu, prices, and atmosphere!

We kind have stumbled upon it, and are we glad! The menu selections are like the diner days of old.

My family and I have been going here for years. The food is okay I guess, there aren't many different menu options. The staff is really only friendly if they know you. There's not really a reason to STOP going there, but there are other places around that I enjoy more.
