Had reservations for a trendy new downtown place, but lacked the energy to go. We decided on Lunardis, as my Groupon was nearing expiration, but I was concerned over the mixed reviews. This place is a gem! We brought our own wine for a very reasonable $7 corkage, shared beans & greens at $8.25 (fabulous!). We shared a fresh garden salad with homemade balsamic dressing, and soup (my new definition of comfort food - a tomato based chicken pastina). Entrees took a while to emerge from the kitchen, and our waitress brought out complementary glasses of wine as we had already finished ours. My husband's Frutti di Mare on linguini for $15.95 was divine, and I loved my Chicken Milanese ($12.95) - gently breaded, sauteed with olive oil and pine nuts, served atop lemony spinach. In short, great place, warm homey atmosphere with only 8 or so tables, attentive and welcoming service, dress up or down, delicious unpretentious food, all at reasonalble prices. What a value! We will be back...soon!
