Excellent
04/30/2020 - Mariel
I love this place! Used to go to "The Bear" with my family when I lived in Kennebunk, everyone was always happy, particularly my sons who "vacuumed" up the vegetarian nachos. I went there at the end of February 2020, and it's just the same. Decent prices and service and a good deal for the money. The environment may not be to everyone's liking, it's pub-y and sometimes a bit noisy, but I give it high marks and always think fondly of it.

My husband and I were thinking of where to eat on a Thursday evening. We decided to go to "The Great Lost Bear" We hadn't been there in years. We were very disappointed with the food. My husband ordered the fish roll up and it was mostly lettuce. It had a few tiny pieces of broken up fish. I ordered the lettuce salad and chicken fingers. We also ordered a side of dirty rice. My chicken fingers were way over cooked in the deep fryer. The dirty rice mushy and flavorless. Totally heated up in the micro.
We were fans of the GLB in the 80,s when it was a great place to eat. The quality just isn't there. We won't be back!
