Traveling along Highway 395 near the Nevada border, I stopped at Kafana inside the Bordertown Casino to try their Monte Cristo sandwich, which was battered and deep-fried as I prefer, accompanied by crispy, well-cooked hash browns after a quick adjustment. The service was friendly and efficient, with attentive staff who made thoughtful recommendations like unique dipping sauces for the sweet potato fries and generous portions, including a memorable blueberry pie served warm with ice cream. The menu offers a variety of well-prepared dishes at reasonable prices, creating a comfortable, hometown diner atmosphere that makes it a reliable choice for meals on the road.

Kafana inside Bordertown Casino is a cozy little spot that always hits the mark for a hearty meal. I was pleasantly surprised by their Monte Cristo sandwich, which had a satisfying filling and came with a delicious strawberry syrup, although the batter was a bit thicker than I prefer. The friendly staff and quick service make it a great stop whenever I'm traveling down the 395, and their affordable prices keep me coming back for more.
