Going to Harlow's for our 3rd time next week for special occasion - we love this place even tho it is a long drive. Fun interior decor and we've had great food both times - the venison and quail were big hits for our group.

Harlow's is run by a very unscrupulous management, and bartenders and servers are simply out to upsell customers and not tell them about the additional charges they will incur for their liquor orders. I have been to Harlow's several times and each time I have been extremely disappointed with the quality of the drinks and alcohol, that I was served, that I ordered. This last time I was there, my daughter, who is in college, ordered a margarita, and they told her they didn't have the tequila she asked for in her margarita
So they unsold her to a high-end Patron tequila and charged her $32 for a single margarita. I heard after the fact that this is a "standard practice" for them to take advantage of customers.
I will never go to Harlow's in Bonsall again. They are a complete scammers and rip-off customers with no regard to what is right. Run ban absolutely unconscionable business owner. When I spoke with the business owner about this practice, he simply defended his server and saying that customers should know the prices of what they're ordering even if they are "up-sold" "¦"it's not the servers responsibility to tell them that their $15 drink went to $32 in advance." Unbelievable, totally should be shut-down and put out of business. I am going to call the alcohol board and let them know about the unscrupulous practices of the Establishment. Please do not go to this Harlow's in Bonsall. They are really bad people. Sad to say, I never leave bad reviews, but this was just the "worst of the worst" when I went to them to complain they simply said oh well "customers beware. "
So, I say to you "customers, beware!"
If you want to get completely ripped off and paying double what you thought you were ordering, then sure, go ahead and go to Harlow's in bonsall California if you want a fair price and a good meal, don't go to Harlow's. You will not find anything there that is worth the "Rip-off

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and we had the best overall experience in a long time. The 1930's ambiance was very cool and the ribeye steak I ordered was done to perfection along with everything else. Very impressed and well worth the visit. Loved it. Will return regularly.
