We regularly visit Santa Barbara for weekend getaways and found this place right across the street from our hotel, Coast Village Inn. The lady at the hotel told us "Oh yes, we always send people to Scoops (as it's known to locals...like Oprah !) Scoops makes their own gelatos and sorbets right in the store. I spoke with the working owner Ellie at length and she told us that they get their ingredients from Farmer's Markets and local organic growers. It's a quiet place in spite of being "the place" for all the kids, large patios and lots of seating....what a delight !!!
