I always opt for extra zucchini over carrots with my meal, and while the sushi isn't my top pick, the vegetable hibachi never fails to impress - it's simply delicious! The food is pretty good, and although there might be a bit of a wait, especially for hibachi dishes, it's well worth it. The chicken I had was tasty, and when I went through the drive-thru and ordered the filet mignon, everything turned out to be absolutely delicious!

Reasonable drive through wait time for freshly made food is like awesome sauce to the friendly service. We don't mind the travel.Thank you 😊

One of Sumter's newest (9/09), Hibachi Grill has beautifully transformed a steak house into a cultural dining experience. With a little imagination, you might think that you would need a translator.
The buffet-style restaurant offers a wide variety of selections which will suit most palates. Excellent sushi and a stir-fry grill cause it to reach a level above area competitors.
The staff (with one noticeable exception) were very nice and helpful. On my visits, I never had to look for my waitress. The exception, surprisingly enough, is the manager, "Alex." Apparently not one who considers customers their priority. Frankly, he was rude.
Space is available for meetings, but he acted as though it was an imposition to ask about reserving a room for a group! Regardless of the other outstanding qualities, the manager's attitude makes it far less likely that I will return. This reviewer would rather eat where his business is appreciated.
Good food, atmosphere, and service do not take the place of common courtesy.
Price also may hinder customers.
Hopefully, owners will provide their manager with some training and make the buffet more affordable. If these two conditions were met, I would recommend Hibachi Grill.
Unfortunately, at this time, I cannot.
