On behalf of my entire family we want to thank Kenneth (our server of the Rock Hill Restaurant). We had a party of 17 in the upstairs dining room on Dec.27,2013 & Kenneth did not miss a beat! Drinks were served immediately, appetizer orders & dinner orders were taken & served promptly. (He even remembered who ordered what dinner). AND treated the Grandchildren w/respect!! That means an awful lot to us! WE WILL BE BACK! Thank You again Kenneth!!!!

I had been going to McHales for over a year. It used to be a wonderful Irish pub, but now since the owner stopped managing it seems like the employees have made it their hang out spot. The menu has changed several times this year and their beer selection left wants, especially for an "Irish Pub", with the kind of beers that they have on draft they need to be in a rainbow beer bar category, not Irish pub. I think if anyone wanted peach, pumpkin and a seasonal beverage they would visit the baby section of a Food Lion or Wal-Mart. The only beer on draft that’s acceptable is Guinness (I guess that why they still claim the title, ‘Irish Pub’. Even their cocktails are lacking a lot, for example, for their long island iced tea, they buy a premade mix, that has obviously too much lemon or orange in it. Their menu items seem good on paper, but u get an eye opener when your BLT come with Green tomatoes that have been breaded and friend to try hide the unripe taste and the fries are limp and flavorless.

Service has also gone down. Older staff members will not bother to serve you, and when they finally do and 15min you’re about to leave. They give you a sweet comment in hopes that their tip will be something good (not that they deserve any at all).

It used to be a great Bar, but since it was and is the only Bar with outside seating and acceptable atmosphere in rock hill it’s enjoying a monopoly. Hopeful it will end soon and Rock Hill can get a proper Irish Bar.
