You won't find a better Mexican food spot than Max's, but don't come here expecting an "authentic" experience - think more Tex-Mex vibes. The menu has stayed pretty much the same for ages, and I've never had a bad dish in all my years of coming here. The nachos are a must, and don't forget to try one of their blended margaritas with a cute hazelnut garnish - it's a fun touch!

Always a great meal. Drinks are nice too. Wish they were in other towns such as Brookings and Sioux Falls.

I took my granddaughter to senior max last night for her birthday. It was to be a great ending to a perfect day. We each ordered a margarita , which we both have had before and were delicious. They were terrible. Tried to talk to the waitress. She didn't really seem to care and was very unfriendly. A lady across from us returned hers and got another one. We were not given that option. Not wanting to cause a scene we drank them paid for them and left. We also each had a large Acapulco Extravaganza We have both frequented your restaurant many times and never had an experience like this. I was very disappointed Thank You for your time. Janice
