Go VOLS! Volunteer Pizza rocks! I love there pizza and their homemade desserts! The pizza is so much different from all the other corporate places around here and it has a great taste! They also deliver and it always takes us less than an hour to get our food, even up the mountain!!! Anyway, try volunteer pizza before you order papa johns or Geno's, ick! And to the man with the bad review, I'm not sure how you would not enjoy volunteer pizza, they have new owners now so give them another try! I'm sure you will love it as much as I do!

Super nice folks and really GREAT food.I dont understand the bad reviews here. Everything tasted fresh and was delivered on time. They delivered to our cabin, which was buried in the woods. We had pizza, wings, and Calzone. The Calzone was HUGE and really yummy

I was very surprised to find someone that would deliver to our cabin. It took me an hour just to find it. When we got there, there was a flyer from Volunteer on our door. We called them and they were there with our pizza in about 40 min. We didn't expect great food since Gatlinburg seems to be a tourist heaven chalk filled with bland sugary food. The pizza was GREAT and the driver was really sweet. The quality was great and the salad was fresh. Pleasant surprise for sure

I have to say, I was extrememly disappointed with every aspect of this place. We ordered a large meat lovers, hot wings, and a gallon of iced tea. $45...Yeah $45. I thought damn this is gonna be awesome. It was disgusting the wings actually smelled strange to me but I tried one anyway. YUCK! The pizza was just as bad. It barely had sauce, cheese, and not very much meat for a $20 pie. In addition, the iced tea was from Food Lion. Seriously? This place sucked!

Crazy drive getting there. We got lost in the Smokies looking for our cabin. Thank god for this place and their delicious pizza. It was dark and we had no idea where we were when we finally found our cabin. These guys found us and brought us really good pizza and cheesy bread. good food.

I posted this on another site, and am re-posting it here because, oh, my god, this pizza was terrible...
Wow, I feel like some of these reviews must have been written by the owners of Volunteer Pizza. My family and I ordered two pies from them a week ago. First of all, they charged as a suspicious $5 delivery fee. But that was the least awful part of the process. In all seriousness, the pizza was the worst I have ever eaten. My family is not a picky one, but all of us thought it was terrible and we didn't even eat it. The cheese hadn't melted, which often happens with poor quality cheese. I tried to heat it up in the microwave and even then it didn't melt. The toppings were very low quality, especially the pepperoni. The crust tasted literally like wheat bread, all soft and flavorless. The total price of the two medium sized pizzas was something ridiculous like $28. Look, I really never write reviews on products, but honestly, this was the worst pizza I've ever ordered in my life. Do yourself a favor and order from someone else, or just make your own food.

Well I have to say, first of all the guy who said it was the worst pizza ever...Do you even have taste buds?? I have very much enjoyed every dinner I have ever gotten from Vol Pizza, very good quality each and every time we have ordered from them...I have had the blessing of being able to travel the world extensively, and have had pizza every way you can imagine, and have to say that Vol ranks up there with the best of them..I also usually get my pizza fixed differently than most people do, and I have to say that they have always been the best at doing it just the way I like....And the cheese bread is the best ever...the only thing I hate is the fact that I can't replicate the pizza or cheese bread in the off months that they are not open...tried, and tried but it just is not the same....Keep up the good work, and best wishes to the new owners....My only negative thought is I wish the salads were jazzed up a bit, not that they are bad, but just seems like they are missing something....maybe some homemade soft bread crouton chunks!!! just a thought....P.S. start a mailing list for the locals with specials or coupons....
