The local bar in Rutland has a great hometown feel, with friendly staff and a fantastic selection of beers and liquor that make you feel right at home. I had a wonderful time enjoying the laid-back atmosphere, delicious drinks, and warm hospitality from both the owner and the bartender.

Muckenschnabels has special events run in the tavern and catered right from their kitchen. Those menus are, of course, very flexible and ordered by whoever is arranging the event.
Other than that, one thing that is always on tap at this quaint old school tavern is hot peanuts in the shell. Great with a delicious beer! Just throw the husks on the floor - the owner says it's easier than constantly cleaning the tables - they clean 'em up at the end of the day.
