Best Food around. Southern Home Cooking. The Families that have operated this place for generations you couldn't ask for better people...Spent many happy days here when I was young. Always love you Marjorie Grey. My Best Friend. I have always hated the day I was moved out of Dinwiddie..loved the country life...Great Food Great People Great Family. The Harrisons.

I don't know what happened to the diners who had a bad experiecce at the Nottoway.....were we eating at the same place? Our experience was so positive. Now here's some info for you: We like country cooking. We are not it's gotta have sauce with a fancy name on our food.
So here's our report: The rolls were homemade and delicious and we could've eaten about 6 apeice...the day we were there about everyone else in the dining room felt the same way so our gluttony was checked. My fried chicken was hot, tender, and everything that fried chicken should be. My friend's fried pork chop was delicious, and our veggies....I think I had pickled beets, green beans and mashed potatoes were also tasty. Our waittress was friendly, the iced tea was good. At the end of our meal, we were members of the clean plate club and wishing we had space for dessert (we didn't but oh how our tummies were happy). We will be travelling down near the Nottoway on Sunday and will stop especially for lunch.
